Historic exterior masonry restoration work on an iconic Nantucket landmark

This is one of the original Three Bricks on Main Street in Nantucket, built by Joseph Starbuck for his sons in the 1830’s.  Our work involved dismantling and rebuilding the four chimneys, parapet walls, as well as cutting and pointing all the mortar joints on the gable ends of the house.  All of the mortar used on this project was a hydraulic lime mortar to duplicate the original 1830’s mortar.
